Dr. Mostafa Rahimnejad (Ph.D. 2011 from Babol Noshirvani University of Technology (BNUT), Iran) has gained extensive experience in a wide range of Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Fuel cell, Biosensor, Fermentation and Chemical engineering over the past 10 years. His publications are mostly in the areas of nanomaterials science, biofuels, fuel cell, microbial fuel cell, purification of wastewater, lab-on-a-chip devices and chemical engineering. He has spent his sabbatical period at Kangwon National University, Chuncheon in South Korea in 2009.

He has published over 180 research articles, filed 4 patent applications and edited 6 books as well as numerous contributions to book chapters and invited, guest and keynote lectures. He is also heavily involved in education and promoting science in the Chemical Engineering Deptartment of BNUT via teaching courses such as Industrial Microbiology, Biochemistry & Biotechnology, Microbiology & QC Laboratory, Advanced Heat Transfer, Advanced Chemical Engineering Reaction, Food Processing, Chemical engineering Software, Thermodynamics, Multi component separation and etc.

Dr. Rahimnejad is also a member of the Iranian Biofuel Committee (2014), Board of Founders of the Iranian Biofuel Union (2014), Head of Renewable Energies and Biofuels Research Centre (2015-present) and also was the Education Dean of the Deptartment of Chemical Engineering at BNUT (2012-2014). He is the Director General of the International Campus at BNUT since 2014 as well as the Director General of the Scientific Collaborations & International Affairs at BNUT since June 2016. 

Moreover, he was awarded the winner of the young research award for BIOVISION (TWAS 2013 & 2015), top researchers at Babol Noshirvani University of Technology (2015), Top Elite Researchers in Mazandran province (2013), the best presenter in 6th Iranian Fuel Cell Seminar (2013) and Top Ph.D. thesis in the field of Fuel Cell in Iran (2012).
